 SCENES

The Play takes place in the timespan of one day at sometime very close to the present. The Play is set in any medium to large city in the United States. Could be New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Denver, Atlanta or any other town in America.

ACT I

Scene 1
Opens on a busy street on a sunny morning with passersby walking quickly in both directions in front of a row of brownstone and gray stone apartment buildings with steps leading up to the landings in front of double doors.

Scene 2
Nikki’s townhome apartment. There are two additional wings, one to right

and one to the left of the main stage.

Scene 3
Daniel’s townhome apartment. Just like Nikki’s but filled with a man’s taste in furniture.

Scene 4
Nikki’s townhome apartment, and side wings.

Scene 5
Nikki’s townhome apartment, and side wings.

INTERMISSION

ACT II

Scene 1
Later in the day, the same street of brownstone and graystone apartment buildings.
The street is deserted.

Scene 2
Nikki’s townhome apartment.

Scene 3
Curtain opens with Danny and Jimmy sitting in the alley between two shops

on the street—a grocery on one side of the alley, a jewelry shop on the other.

Scene 4
Nikki’s townhome apartment.

Scene 5
A Bus Stop street scene, set in the early evening. There is a bench, a traffic light and a bench.
On the left wing, Jason and Maggie's kitchen with a table, chair, coffee pot and mug, and crumpled wads of notepaper scattered on the table and the floor.

Scene 6
Opens on the JOB OPS Center all–purpose room with card tables lining the perimeter.
